Aarona Pichinson Founder of Yoga of Nourishment

A lover of movement, a designer of lifestyle, and a believer in the power of collective awareness - Aarona is a dedicated teacher and guide.


Born in Los Angeles and relocating at least 10 times while growing up, her perspective was shaped by an array of people, places, and practices. This laid the groundwork for her unique and hybrid style of teaching and her understanding of living today. Aarona shares what inspires her and believes that a commitment to our own personal development is all it takes to make dynamic shifts in our wellbeing and happiness. 


On the mat, Aarona offers a dynamic and unique yoga practice full of vigor and grace. Through playful and challenging sequences combined with thoughtfully selected music she guides students to dive deep into the body to utilize the brilliance of their focus and breath and build confidence in perhaps uncomfortable places. Connecting breath to movement, feet to core, and head to heart, Aarona's classes cultivate personal power and awareness so that one can apply this in their individual and personal life. Her ongoing practice and shared teaching techniques help to build strength, a steady flow, a calm mind, and a fierce presence - both on and off the mat.


Off the mat, Aarona has become a trusted and valuable resource for rich and inspiring information geared towards enabling an amazing and healthy life. With her connections to a cutting edge and highly informative community, she has access to some of the finest products, people, and places - many of which are contributing profoundly to our changing world. As a result Aarona is able to design her lifestyle as she assists others in designing theirs. She generously shares this information through specially designed and enhanced one-on-one coaching, her website, newsletters, events, retreats, and other personal projects.


A little history…

Over 15 years ago Aarona began her own healing and yoga path with influences coming from her travels in India (Swami Vivekenanda adm Sunil), South America, and many amazing teachers throughout the U.S. Over the years these teachers and guiding lights include Schuyler Grant (Freestyle Vinyasa), Elena Brower (Anusara), Gabrielle Roth/Jonathan Horan (5 Rhythms), and Ana Forrest whom Aarona graciously did the Forrest Yoga teacher training with.


Aarona lives in NYC where she has her own thriving yoga teaching and coaching practice and travels nationally and internationally for yoga/lifestyle retreats and festivals. Her skills and background in photography (many of the photos on this site are mine!), experimental art, dance, and spoken word has greatly contributed to all that Aarona creates and shares today!
